El Informe “Una cara familiar: violencia en la vida de niños y adolescentes”, presenta los datos más recientes sobre cuatro formas específicas de violencia: la disciplina violenta y la exposición al abuso doméstico durante la primera infancia; violencia en la escuela; muertes violentas entre adolescentes; y violencia sexual en la infancia y la adolescencia.
Las estadísticas revelan que los niños experimentan violencia en todas las etapas de la infancia, en diversos entornos, y a menudo en manos de las personas de confianza con quienes interactúan a diario. El informe concluye con acciones nacionales específicas y estrategias que UNICEF ha adoptado para prevenir y responder a la violencia contra los niños.
