Primer Foro Regional de la Red de Conocimiento sobre Seguridad Ciudadana CONOSE

Este documento pretende ayudar al fortalecimiento de la reflexión académica de la región desde tres distintos enfoques para la comprensión de la seguridad ciudadana. Para ello se contó en este primer Foro con la participación de tres renombrados conferencistas: Tani Adams, Ignacio Cano y Hernando Gómez Buendía.

Hernando Gómez Buendía brinda un panorama general sobre la situación de seguridad en Centroamérica y República Dominicana; mientras que Tani Adamas, explica la afectación que genera la vivencia de la violencia crónica sobre el desarrollo humano. Por su parte Ignacio Cano, expone la necesidad de establecer las evaluaciones de los programas que se implementan en el área de prevención de violencia.

Acerca de CONOSE

La Red de Conocimiento sobre Seguridad Ciudadana (CONOSE), nace como una iniciativa del Proyecto “Gestión de la información basada en evidencias para la seguridad ciudadana en América Central y República Dominicana” (InfoSegura) con la finalidad de aglutinar en ella a instituciones de la región centroamericana y República Dominicana que realizan labores de investigación o formación en la temática de Seguridad Ciudadana.

Los objetivos de CONOSE se centran en cuatro aspectos fundamentales:

  • Contribuir al desarrollo de capacidades de instituciones académicas de la región
  • Fortalecer la oferta formativa de las instituciones que la conforman
  • Instaurar una agenda de investigación regional en el área de seguridad ciudadana
  • Contribuir al diálogo informado sobre esta temática

Con el fin de instalar formalmente a CONOSE, el 30 de agosto del 2016 se llevó a cabo el Primer Foro Regional de la Red de Conocimiento sobre Seguridad Ciudadana denominado “Aportes de la Academia a la Seguridad Ciudadana” donde, además de realizar un foro abierto sobre la situación de la seguridad humana en la región centroamericana y República Dominicana que contribuyera a la comprensión de este fenómeno, también se efectuó la primera sesión de la Asamblea General CONOSE.
