DATACTION premieres new season
Season five of DatAction, the digital community of practice and knowledge management of the UNDP InfoSegura Regional Project, implemented with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), kicked off on March 29.
During this season brings various solutions to improve citizen security in the region. In addition, the UNDP InfoSegura team maintains open spaces for institutions and other agencies of the United Nations system working in Central America and the Dominican Republic to share experiences.
The launch of season five included a presentation on the rates of violence against women, with the participation of Minister Doris García, head of the National Women’s Institute of Honduras (INAM), her technical team, the UNDP Honduras and InfoSegura Regional teams. A tool for monitoring the evolution of violence against women and girls from a multidimensional perspective was also presented.
The second DatAction presented the Index of Multidimensional Violence against Women And Girls, with the participation of the Salvadoran Institute for the Development of Women (ISDEMU), the Directorate General for Statistics and Census of El Salvador (DIGESTYC) and the Ministry of Justice and Public Security of El Salvador. Subsequently, on March 31, Honduras and El Salvador exchanged experiences on the theme "National Survey on Violence against Women," with the participation of the National Statistics Institute of Honduras, the Directorate General for Statistics and Census of El Salvador and UNDP teams from both countries. On DatAction four this season Costa Rica and El Salvador exchanged experiences on Road Safety and Prevention Analysis, analysing options for data integration and work methods.
DatAction is an online community of practice, another space promoted by UNDP InfoSegura for the development and exchange of specialized knowledge to address the major challenges in citizen security in Central America and the Dominican Republic within the framework of effective governance.
