CITIZEN SECURITY ANALYSIS, FIRST HALF OF 2020: CENTRAL AMERICA AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

The following document is a compilation of the presentations made during the DATACCIÓN series of Webinaras with UNDP Infosegura, analysis of the citizen security situation for the first half of 2020 and in the context of COVID 19.

About the DATACTIONS

It is a virtual space for the exchange of information on citizen security (CS) in Central America and the Dominican Republic. The first three meetings were attended by technical teams from Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Belize and the Regional Office, who presented an analysis of the situation of insecurity and violence in the context of COVID- 19, corresponding to the first semester of 2020. The space available pay special attention to what the data shows to identify the dynamics of violence. And in the context of COVID confinement, violence has mutated into other types of behavior.
