TRAINACTION: UNDP InfoSegura inaugurates training on citizen security, justice and social cohesion

Acquire and strengthen capacities for the understanding of citizen security with a gender perspective. With this objective, the second edition of the Training Course on Citizen Security, Justice and Social Cohesion was launched. Developed and implemented by the UNDP InfoSegura Regional Project, the course provides participants with essential conceptual and methodological elements for comprehensive and effective citizen security management, applied to their different countries and within the framework of the objectives and goals of the 2030 Agenda.

The course will be delivered on the TrainAction platform, a space for exchange and collaboration created to reflect more deeply on information management in matters of evidence-based citizen security, justice and social cohesion, using practical activities, self-assessment, as well as resources and support material.

The topics to be addressed during the course have been divided into three main areas:

1.  Governance and managing citizen security

2.  Technology applied to citizen security: Tools, data and analysis

3.  Citizen security policies: Design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Since its inception, INFOSEGURA has developed tools and mechanisms to strengthen the technical and technological capabilities in national and local governmental institutions, promoting not only the adoption of instruments for better decision making in the field, but also promoting a regional community of knowledge and practice, promoting dialogue between institutions and involving civil society in a context of collaboration and interoperability.
