TRAINACTION: UNDP InfoSegura inaugurates eighth edition of the Course on Citizen Security, Justice and Social Cohesion
In response to the growing need to strengthen institutional capacities in areas of information management in citizen security, the UNDP InfoSegura Regional Project, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has inaugurated the eighth Training Course on Citizen Security, Justice and Social Cohesion, with a group of 99 participants from Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and El Salvador.
The course is intended for officials, technical teams, members of academia and specialists in the subregion, with the objective of providing them with fundamental conceptual and methodological elements for the comprehensive and effective management of Citizen Security in the region, within the framework of the objectives and goals of the 2030 Agenda, through the analysis of cases and examples to develop and strengthen participant analytical, contextual, communicative and critical thinking skills.
Course contents are divided into three modules:
- Governance and citizen security management in Latin America
- Technology applied to citizen security: Tools, data and analysis
- Citizen security policies: Design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
The course will be delivered through the TrainAction platform, a space for exchange and collaboration created for deep evidence-based reflection on managing information on issues of citizen security, justice and social cohesion.
