Violence agaisnt women, Costa Rica 2021

The following infographic presents an analysis of violence against women differentiated throughout the life cycle for the year 2021 in Costa Rica. It includes data on intrafamily and domestic violence, sexual violence, and femicide. This analysis was prepared by the Infosegura team based on international instruments and national legislation on violence against women for 2021 and with data from official sources in the country: the Ministry of Public Security, the Judicial Investigation Agency (OIJ), Deputy Prosecutor for Gender Affairs, the Justice System Statistics Subprocess and the Inter-institutional Subcommission on Femicide Prevention.
